ICC International certifies practicing Career Management Professionals. Formed in 1994, ICC International is an independent member supported accrediting organization. Truly international, Board members come from seven countries, and its Practitioners and Fellows can be found throughout the world.

Wouldn’t certification by a prestigious international organization benefit you the next time you look to advance in this field? Consider how desirable it would be to have a certifying association keeping you up-to-date, as well as having certified colleagues around the world.

People new to this field can apply for the in-training Associate level. Once you have successfully worked in the field for a number of years you will qualify to be certified as a Career Management Practitioner (CMP) or a Career Management Fellow (CMF). If you are already an experienced career management professional you can apply immediately for the CMP or CMF designations.

The process is straightforward.

Download the Certification Application Form from the ICC International Web site. You will answer questions about your work and educational background, and supply a recent resumé. You also check-off areas of your career management competency. There are 46 choices.

You will document how you have become capable in career management areas. You are not expected to be competent in every facet of career management. Everyone continually learns and adds to their knowledge and abilities.

You reveal to ICC International your skill and knowledge by identifying courses you have taken, or leadership you have given in the field. There are eleven ways that you can confirm your capabilities.
