Susan Blomberg, CMF, formerly a LHH Career Specialist Consultant, is the President of Empowerment Works, a company that specializes in facilitating the growth of individuals and organizations through the design and implementation of training and develpment programs.

During her career, she founded and was President of The Training Connection; a training company that provided services to government, industry, and education. Prior to this company, Susan was Vice President, Owner, and Director of Training at The Self-Paced Learning Center, an office and motivational skills training organization which she sold to a large employment company.
Susan authored a four book educational and motivational series, "Let's Create, Think, and Write", published by National Textbook. She earned The Award of Excellence from The New England Training and Development Council and National Alliance of Business; The Exemplary Award from the United States Department of Labor and placed as a finalist for The Socially Responsible Entrepreneur of the Year Award from Ernest and Young.
Presently Susan has just completed a manuscript called "Stories about Personal Resilience." She is a 9/11 parent. She is completing a pilot program on "resiliency" with a group of graduate students.

Barbara has trained and coached more than a thousand managers from a wide variety of industries and across job functions, with expertise in Financial Services, Consumer Products, Retail, Media and Entertainment, Law, High Tech, Health Care and Pharmaceutical industries. Her experience with Chase Manhattan Bank and with American Express in Human Resources, developed her keen understanding of the relationship between individual and organizational effectiveness. At Chase and its predecessors for 1l years, Barbara played a key role in designing and staffing career management programs during the bank’s mergers.
She managed and trained senior consultants/ coaches in competency and personality assessment, developmental planning, 360 assessment and feedback ,stress management, career management, motivational strategies and interpersonal effectiveness.
Barbara developed an Executive Effectiveness and Coaching program for Senior Executives on behalf of a leading management consulting firm which was later marketed on a national level. Her team profile assessment and developmental plan became a model for future team building programs.
At American Express, Barbara managed an in-house career management and development program, as well as acted as a career strategist for individuals in the organization. She also designed a coaching skills training program for leaders. Barbara initiated and developed the Professional Development Institute where she trained more than 200 career strategists in assessment and career management techniques.
Barbara has been a keynote speaker, workshop leader and panel member on topics relating to Management and Job Market Trends. She was interviewed on an award winning CBS News special report entitled, “Are You Underpaid?” and a recent NBC National broadcast news program entitled “Hiring an Executive Coach.”
Barbara has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Smart Money, Cosmopolitan Magazine, National Business Employment Weekly, Newsday, American Banker, and the Los Angeles Times.
Barbara is also a founding Board Member of the New York Chapter of the International Association of Career Management Professionals (IACMP) and of the Career Counselors Consortium, which she served as the first Vice President. She was awarded “Fellow Status,” the highest level of competency, by the International Institute of Career Management Professionals. Barbara has also been Chairman of the ASTD Career Development Special Interest Group in New York, and simultaneously served on the Executive Council. She is an active member of the International Coaching Federation.
Barbara currently serves on the faculty of Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations teaching “Interpersonal Behavior” to undergraduate students. Barbara has a Masters Degree in Management/Counseling from Hunter College. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland.
