Subsequent to that, Paul spent five years with an American trade publishing organization in Hong Kong. The nature of his human resource responsibilities then was similar to his previous role in Singapore with the added challenge of managing a wide spectrum of cultural idiosyncrasies, both Asian and Western, across all management levels. Paul has been praised by his clients for his insight, sensitivity and thoroughness in managing transition managers. He has often been described as a consultant that takes a sincere interest in the continued emotional well-being of his candidates and one that works with his heart as much as his mind. He is also known to go the proverbial extra mile for his clients and candidates. Paul has exceptionally strong empathy, follow-up skills, a keen eye for details and is a prolific writer. His book titled "Jump Start your Career" was recently published by Prentice Hall and is currently being distributed through major bookstores in Asia. Paul travels extensively in Asia, and globally. Paul's views on career management, outplacement and human resource topics are often sought after by the media, including the highly regarded Business Times, The Straits Times & the Asian Wall Street Journal. His articles on those topics are regularly published in the press as well as reputable management and business magazines, and also on major websites, both in Singapore as well as Hong Kong. He has been invited to appear on television as well as radio talk shows, and regularly delivers presentation papers in Singapore and around the Region. He is currently a panel expert on career management issues of The Asian Wall Street Journal and asiaone.com. Paul is a Fellow Practitioner (CMF), duly certified by the Institute of Career Certification International (ICC International). He is a member of the Association of Career Management Professionals (ACP International), based in Washington, D.C. and the Founding President of the Asian Association of Career Management Professionals (AACMP). At the 2002 Elections, Paul was elected to a two-year term on AOCFI's Board of Directors.
