The work we do is more critical to people’s lives than ever before in history as organizations and individuals alike face the complexities and uncertainties of the global marketplace.  That’s why we’re so proud to know our certificants are out there guiding their clients to acquire the knowledge and skills they need to be successful, both personally and professionally.

The Institute of Career Certification International is on the move.  Like our colleagues in medicine, law, finance, and engineering, it is critical that our professionals have credible certification that shows their experience and expertise have been validated by leaders in the field. 

We’re leading with several new Worldwide Initiatives to raise the credibility of the career services profession.

And that’s just the beginning.  We’d like to invite you to join us by spreading the word to the buying public and to your colleagues about why certification is so important. How can you answer them when they ask, “Why become certified by The Institute when I already have 2-3 certifications?” You see, ICC International is the umbrella certification over the entire career services profession. It is the bridge that connects our profession and its practitioners with each other and with our clients, a bridge founded on verified experience and expertise, a bridge that demonstrates our integrity, ethics and commitment to our clients and to our profession. 

You can help your potential clients, as well as colleagues, understand that ICC International certification is the only certification in our field that cannot be purchased.  It is portfolio based, demonstrating professional experience in actual practice. ICC International is also the only not-for-profit, independent, global certifying body for career professionals. 

The Institute was established in 1994 by our leading professional associations (ACP and ACF ) in response to growing concern by providers, customers and consumers of career services that these services are delivered competently, ethically and to defined and verifiable standards established by leaders in the field.  That is still our primary mission.
